Life RP started with a simple idea: bring back the city and the rules of a Garry's Mod roleplay server — in virtual reality, with real hands and real objects.

Riverden, on Garry's Mod
It all starts with rp_riverden, a Garry's Mod roleplay city: downtown, police station, hospital, bank, stores and residential blocks.

The city ported to BONELAB
Riverden is rebuilt as a Unity map for BONELAB, playable together through Fusion. Every building keeps its place, every street its layout.

A real roleplay system
Around the map, a dedicated server runs money, inventory, stores, jobs, roles, the phone and doors. The server decides — nothing can be faked on the player's side.

The storefronts are back
204 signs and wall graphics from the Garry's Mod version — hospital, police, fire station, bank, car dealer, casino, posters — have been restored on Riverden's buildings.

One launcher does it all
A Windows launcher prepares a dedicated BONELAB profile, installs the right versions and applies signed, verified updates. You just press Play.

Isolated BONELAB profile
The launcher prepares a separate profile with the mods and the Riverden map, without touching your usual game.

Create your character
RP identity, appearance and Riverden rules are all set up in the launcher before you enter the city.

Join Riverden
Press Play. Client and server updates arrive together, signed, with a way to roll back.

A slot-based inventory, kept by the server. Store what you're holding, take it back, drop it or consume it. All 93 catalogue items have their own picture, rendered from their real 3D model.

Cash exists physically: $1 to $100 bills you hold in your hand. The Riverden bank teller handles deposits and withdrawals, and your account pays in stores.

Riverden's signs restored
204 signs and logos from the Garry's Mod version are back on the buildings: hospital, police, bank, casino, car dealer, posters.

A Windows 10 or 11 PC, BONELAB on PC, a compatible VR headset and the Life RP launcher. The launcher prepares the rest — mods and the Riverden map — in a separate profile.
Does it change my normal BONELAB install?
No. The launcher prepares an isolated BONELAB profile for Life RP. Your usual game and mods are left untouched.
Is the server open to everyone?
Life RP is currently a private server in active development: in-game gameplay is still being tested. Openings will be announced here and on Discord.
How do I know the downloaded file is genuine?
Compare its SHA-256 fingerprint with the one shown on this page. On Windows, run Get-FileHash .\file.exe -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell. If they differ, don't open it.
Windows shows a SmartScreen warning. Is that normal?
It can happen while the publisher isn't recognised by Microsoft yet. Check the file fingerprint; if it matches, you can continue through "More info".
Is Life RP official?
No. Life RP is a fan project, not affiliated with Stress Level Zero (BONELAB), Facepunch (Garry's Mod) or the authors of the mods it uses. Credits are listed on the Credits page.
